Grade 8 Trip Information
Grade 8 Shadow Days and HS Dates
Dear 8th Grade Parents and Guardians,
Now that the fall semester has begun, our 8th grade students will begin the high school admission process.
The two shadow days for this school year have been scheduled. They will be Friday September 27th and Thursday October 3rd. Please schedule your visits during these days. Since many of our students apply to NDCL or Lake Catholic, the following days will be split by Homeroom:
If students want to shadow a third day, Friday October 11th and Monday 14th are good options because St. Gabriel School is closed, but other high schools may still be open. You can check the calendars on their websites for more information. If your student needs another day to shadow at a school outside of those dates, you will need to make other arrangements.
Families that do not need both shadow days should keep their students at home. There will not be classes for 8th grade students on September 27th and October 3rd. Students will not be marked absent for these two days.
Students are responsible for their own transportation on shadow days. Registration and details can be found on the websites of each prospective school. Please Every school has their own way they run their shadow days. Make sure you ask about their dress code, lunch, etc. If your student is ill on the visitation day, please call the high school and let them know.
