What our parents think...

Seven Years...Yesterday I dropped my youngest baby off for his last day of Preschool at St. Gabriel Learning Loft.
My heart was a bit heavy. Today was graduation and is the day I say goodbye to an era.
My 3 children have attended the Loft since my oldest now 10 was 3 years old.
I'll never forget that first year as a first time mom leaving my 1st born with his teacher, Mrs. Pecjak.
I didn't know Mrs. Pecjak at the time and, of course, the thought of leaving my 1st born with an unknown person whom you could not "interview" prior to watching your child for 2 hours 3 times a a week was difficult.
Ohhh... the growing pains of a first time mom. Now, as a "seasoned" Mom, I can smile with great fondness as I reflect on these several years.
This lovely magical place has left a mark in my heart and I know it has left marks in each of my children's hearts as well.
I will forever be grateful for the Loft.
It has provided my children with a safe loving and nurturing environment.
Strangely I feel it has become an extension of my body, if you will, a limb that has grown over the last seven years....
It has been part of my routine.
I, especially, will forever miss the paraliturgies that have made me laugh and cry tears of pride and joy over the years.
The songs sung by sweet tender voices will forever resonate in my ears with love.
Thoughts of "a tooty-ta" song and "going on a bear hunt" .... make my heart leap and laugh as I think back to those dances that cracked me up year after year.
The smiling faces of such loving teachers with the welcome hug of warmth the wraps like a blanket on a cold day.
Some of these ladies were my children’s teachers and others were not, but yet their smiles radiated as we’d enter each day...Mrs. Pecjak, Mrs. Silvester, Mrs. Jurcovic, Ms. Coyne, Ms. Mullowney, Mrs. Aveni, Mrs. Small, Mrs. Reynolds, Mrs. Radigan, Mrs. Brys, Mrs. Robertson, Mrs. Loiacona-Izzo, Mrs. Sawitke, Mrs. Hays ....oh these ladies...many of whom I can now call friends are kindred spirits and angels among us.
The teaching of love, God, and prayer shared with my children has been of utmost importance.
The creativity and adorable crafts that act as keepsakes of our children's hands, feet and thoughts will be cherished.
The Reverse Raffle....the hard work in which moms and dads poured their heart into....the chance I got to work with Jecci Garcia-Martinez and Kate Burtch who's passion for event planning interwoven with mine gave me a chance to get to know them and share in their delight to make our children's school even better....
The Reverse Raffle, a labor of love, brought about camaraderie and friendships...
...the bike-a-thon, lemonade stand, field trips to fruit farms, school houses, parks and Concord Woods....oh those memories and smiles they created....
The sunshine committee that has provided so much sunshine to my family and others over the years in providing help during the amazing times of births in our family to the hard times when faced with difficult times and sadness...
You can find supermoms all over this school....they may even be disguised as the moms you encounter in the hallway that are running late... attempting to pack too much into their day or just proud and feeling accomplished to have gotten out the door on time...
they may be the ones with frazzled hair and multiple children on their hips but a smile on their face enjoying their brief adult conversation of the day. LOL.
The friendships that this school has blessed my children with have been ideal.
I, in turn, gained some of the best friendships of my own through this magical place.
I will forever be grateful that The Learning Loft...one of God's greatest gifts came into our lives.
Thank you for the memories that I will cherish a lifetime.
May God continue to bless your school, each of your teachers, families and future generations to come. 💖
PS - I found 2 🍀🍀 walking in to pick my son up on the last day!!! 💚
