My goal as a teacher is to have my students become life-long readers and writers. I believe that all students have special gifts and talents, and that it is my responsibility to discover them and make learning both fun and meaningful for them each day that they are with me. Students should be provided with encouragement and understanding so that they may strive to reach their potential each day.

Mr. Cory Mercsak will be heading up our Science courses in junior high this year (Grade 6 Homeroom). He studied at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and further studied at Cleveland State University in curriculum and instruction. Mr. Mercsak is new to the Lake County area, but is not new to education having spent many years in various roles in public and private schools. He is joining us from St. Rocco School in Cleveland. It is his dream to have the opportunity to bring all of my experiences to help educate, and have a positive influence on the diverse learners of our school.
