I believe that all students have special gifts and talents, and that it is my responsibility to discover them and make learning both fun and meaningful for them each day that they are with me. Education Bachelor of Arts History and Political Science Master's Degree History Licensure Integrated Social Studies 7-12 Philosophy As an educator I am focused on creating a vibrant, inquiring, and collaborative learning environment where students are supported and encouraged to grow and learn ethically and intellectually. I place priority on developing critical thinking skills, high level problem solving, and continual mastery of verbal and written expression. Equally important is the fostering of a classroom community where the virtues and teachings of the Catholic Faith inform our thoughts, words, and actions. I support and encourage my students through acceptance, understanding, and compassion in order that they not only achieve academically, but that they also have the foundation to mature into moral, confident, dynamic young men and women. jeff.mickol@st-gabrielschool.org |
