Our Parent Ambassadors
Blessed. Thankful. Peaceful. That's how I feel when I pick up my son from school or simply walk through the halls on an ordinary day. I feel blessed that my family is part of a Catholic school community that not only provides an excellent academic experience for my child, but also weaves our faith into everything they do. St. Gabriel School nourishes the faith of each child and provides a perfect environment for them to grow in faith as well as become good stewards of our world. I am thankful for the gift of this school – for incredibly talented and dedicated teachers and staff, and for thoughtful and inspiring spiritual leaders. Together, they provide a strong foundation on which our children can build their lives. My happiest moments are seeing the sparkle in my son’s eyes and the pure joy in his voice as he tells me about his day. I know he is exactly where he should be and once again I feel blessed, thankful and peaceful.
~Deb Esker Parent One of the many things St. Gabriel did for me was they helped me grow in faith. We went to Mass every Wednesday to learn more about living our lives in kindness and compassion. There were many prayer services for our loved ones and people in need. Something that helped me grow as a person was Rachel’s Challenge because Rachel Scott inspired me. ~Cameron Pease Alumni St. Gabriel has taught me to be a leader. My parents and teachers taught me to stick up for what is right. They taught me to stand up for what I believe in, even if it isn’t popular. ~Abby Koerwitz Alumni As a parent of a 3rd and 1st grader here at St. Gabriel, I know that my children are in the right place for us. From the friendly faces helping the children off the buses in the morning to the courteous and always helpful office and administrative staff, to the teachers who are always available to discuss your child’s homework, schoolwork or your concerns, I know we are all working for the good of my children. When I attend the School Mass or volunteer and see all the generous support of time and talent given by parents, volunteers, and Parish staff, I know these are all additional “eyes” watching and guiding my children throughout the day. They say it takes a village to raise a child and we have found our village here at St. Gabriel. No matter where life takes us after St. Gabriel, I feel my children are receiving a solid, spiritually-based foundation that will enable them to succeed in their high school years and well beyond. –Paula Haumesser Parent |
